About
Women Empowerment was founded by Mohammed Abdul Aziz ( @Azizbd ) in 7 January, 2017. He is also founder of the charity School @SchoolForSDG4. The school provides free education facilities to 50 underprivileged kids since 20 April, 2016 in Bangladesh. The Facebook Page of Women Empowerment shows all past, recent activities and related works of the project.

Thanks for @Acidyo for Christmas offer which allowed us to get a new account for Women Empowerment.

We are working with more than 50 women who are from slums and lower income families. We are not a charity organization to promote our work more professionally but to be honest without knocking the people, no organization would get help from potential donor. As women empowerment is still have not got roof over the head, not even the good sell of products we already made here. We need promotion and need support to keep helping the women who are working with the project for more than a year.

Gender equality is persistent challenge for developing country like Bangladesh. With more than 163 million population, the country faces gender discrimination, sexual abuse, child marriage, domestic violence and so on. Women are neglected and get no say over men decisions in a family.

How we are inspired to help the women ?

I @azizbd live near too slum areas and personally experienced how the women are treated in slums. I used to go university through slums and often I saw women dominated by men and this is worse to explain. But that was not the main cause, as founder of @ScholForSDG4 I had to communicate with kids mothers and learned them they have no jab except taking care of kids.

I was thinking how I can help the women ? How the women can help their families financially and is it possible to use the manpower to make @SchoolForSDG4 a sustainable solution so mother can pay by working in this social venture.

At the end of 2016, I felt difficult situation when Al-Amin stopped to come @schoolforsdg4 . I determined myself to bring him school by communicating his family. But is was not possible as his family was so needy I was helping his family with help of donors. This story compelled me to take the initiative of @WomenEmpowerment more urgently. The

I was visiting slums day to night to manage mothers, young girls who don't work not even go school. Some teenage girls joined us who even go to school but family has difficult condition to continue their education.

The @WomenEmpowerment project was visited by Apasen International ( A international charity organization) . As founder of the project, I was promoting products and was sharing activities of @WomenEmpowerment from my personal blog. But it time to separate my the cause and also earn some money for the project development and expansion of the business. I also believe the product promotion on steemit will help us to get some donors and customers too.

According to @Tecnosgirl after getting her order in USA

I think they look better in person than they do in the photos and they are made really well. If you are looking for a gift that is unique that you won't find in stores, you might want to check out @azizbd blog he is always sharing projects the women are doing and that are available for sale. I can't wait for my girls to see these for Christmas. I see them both using them as make up bags.

@Tecnosgirl made a post after receiving the shipment. Here is the post

After creating the @WomenEmpowerment , We received wonderful support of 50 Steem from @r2cornell who also donated 50 SBD to @SchoolForSDG4 .

We wish to keep sharing our update on steemit. I will keep promoting @WomenEmpowerment account from @Azizbd and hope you will FOLLOW the account if you are serious about to support us in future. I also believe that as I am key person of the projects so people/ donors might be interested to know who I am and what I am doing personally behind . So I will keep resteeming my personal stories, humanitarian and social activities from @SchoolForSDG4 and @WomenEmpowerment . It will help us to get more in touch with the related activities and get more personal interaction.

Every resteem and upvote will make the cause more visible on steemit and the @Steem block chain can make the initiative more successful with crypto Fund if we act as community. We will invest most of the raised funds to SP and the account will solely managed by @azizbd unless we have any further Idea.

All the support and fund will not be considered as capital of the project's future assets and it will help us to grow on steemit. We will be following donors and regular supporters to make more real communication.
