My Favourite 3 Investments You Might Not Know About

I became an investor few years ago, though it has not been very long, I'm really glad I am one now. Year in, year out, I discovered some investments that stood still when the mighty winds blew.

There are times when the country would not be financially stable and investments suffer. But there are some investments that still yield profits during such times, though it might be low interest rates.

My favourite of all investments is the Treasury Bills, which is issued by the government. It is a short term debt tool used by the Government. It depends on the inflation rate in the country at that particular time. The interest rates are not fixed all year round, it either increases or reduces. Interests here can also be paid upfront, I usually choose that option. There are 3 tenors that are available at the primary market; 91 days, 182 days and 364 days. While in the secondary market you can get odd periods, like 24 days, or even 350 days. Any tenor outside 91, 182 and 364 is usually secondary market. Investments that are liquidated are the ones sold in the secondary market.

The second in my list is Mutual Funds, this does not require huge amount of money. It is like a portfolio of investments, because funds invested here, are invested in bonds, shares and treasury bills and other money market tools. In this kind of market there are sometimes gains or losses. But because it is managed by professionals, usually the gains are more. Investing in mutual fund, is also like buying shares in the mutual fund company itself.

The last but not the least is Agriculture. The way things are going, this would be my favourite in a very short time. It brings the highest Roll Over Interest (ROI). Agriculture for me, is both a business and an investment. It is a business in the sense that, I have a farm, which I visit often and pay a labourer for maintenance. It is not a very big farm though, so I have just one labourer working on it. It is also an Investment to me, because I have funds invested in websites that helps in planting and harvesting of crops, without needing my attention. I talked about such websites here.

Cryptocurrency ought to make the list, but with the way things are going, it is the most unstable. Prices are always fluctuating, there is no regulated interest rate. So it's the riskiest of all investments I'm into. Sometimes though, it is also the most profitable.

If there is any investment you would like to suggest, I'm all ears. Drop your comments before you go :)
