Easter egg hunt

A Pasqua i nonni hanno organizzato per mio figlio una caccia al tesoro a base di uova colorate, con due premi finali: un coniglietto di cioccolato e un uovo di cioccolato.
Devo dire che è stato un momento divertente che ci ha coinvolto tutti, con mio figlio che si è divertito parecchio e noi che abbiamo dovuto aiutarlo perché il nonno aveva nascosto per bene le uova.
La cosa era congegnata in questo modo: una serie di bigliettini, che noi dovevamo leggere al piccolo, visto che ancora non sa leggere, che davano un indizio su dove si trovava l'uovo da cercare, trovato un uovo c'era un altro indizio.
Nel penultimo nascondiglio c'era il coniglietto di cioccolato, nell'ultimo l'uovo di Pasqua di cioccolato.
Primo indizio
Il primo nascondiglio era la buca di raccolta della cenere sotto il camino per le grigliate, ovviamente ho dovuto spostare io la griglia essendo di ghisa...
Secondo indizio
Il secondo uovo colorato era nascosto nell'orto, siamo stato foniti di aste di ferro per sondare il terreno e scovare dov'era nascosto. Per rendere più difficile la ricerca il nonno aveva nascosto, oltre al vasetto di confettura vontenente l'uovo, anche due lattine vuote; il vasetto è stato effettivamente l'ultimo ad essere stato ritrovato.
Terzo indizio
Dentro una chiesetta in miniatura che si trova sulla sponda del laghetto per pesci rossi ecco il terzo uovo colorato.
Quarto indizio
Questo passaggio è stato il più difficoltoso, le siepi da controllare sono lunghe parecchi metri, le abbiamo controllate tutti e tre, io, mia moglie e il piccolo, per tre volte, alla fine l'uovo era talmente ben nascosto all'interno della siepe che abbiamo dovuto chiedere un aiuto a base di acqua,fuochino, fuoco, etc.
Quinto indizio
Il quinto uovo è stato invece semplice, si trovava nel pozzetto dove arriva la corrente che aziona la pompa del laghetto, a parte la rimozione del coperchio di ghisa, che ovviamente ha dovuto fare un adulto, la posizione è stata individuata immediatamente.
Sesto indizio
Il sesto indizio ci ha portato in garage, dove, all'interno di un frigo a pozzetto non più utilizzato, si nascondeva il coniglietto pasquale di cioccolato, che è stato immediatamente fatto a pezzi e mangiato...
Settimo e ultimo indizio
Eccoci finalmente al tesoro più importante: l'uovo di Pasqua di cioccolato. Era nascosto in un enorme pentolone dentro un armadietto chiuso a chiave. Sotto il cassero ci sono parecchi armadietti, tre dei quali chiusi a chiave, la pentola era in fondo ad uno di questi. L'impresa non è stata semplice, ma, alla fine l'uovo di cioccolato è stato trovato.
Eccolo ancora intero poco prima di essere fatto a pezzi da mio figlio.
Insomma, per concludere, abbiamo passato un'oretta tutti insieme divertendoci e mangiando cioccolato, mio figlio si è divertito e anche noi, tutto sommato. Sicuramente quelli che si sono divertiti di più sono stati i nonni, sia ad organizzare la caccia al tesoro, sia a vederci correre in giro per il giardino alla ricerca delle uova.
Una bella idea da ripetere sicuramente anche il prossimo anno!

I must say it was a fun moment that involved us all, with my son having a lot of fun and we who had to help him because his grandfather had hidden the eggs properly.
The thing was designed in this way: a series of notes, which we had to read to the little one, since he still cannot read, which gave a clue as to where the egg was to be found, found an egg there was another clue .
In the penultimate hiding place was the chocolate bunny, in the last one the chocolate Easter egg.
First clue
The first hiding place was the ash collection pit under the fireplace for grilling, obviously I had to move the grill being of cast iron ...
Second clue
The second colored egg was hidden in the garden, we were phoned with iron rods to probe the ground and find where it was hidden. To make the search more difficult the grandfather had hidden, in addition to the jar of jam containing the egg, also two empty cans; the jar was actually the last to be found.
Third clue
Inside a miniature church located on the bank of the goldfish pond is the third colored egg.
Fourth clue
This step was the most difficult, the hedges to be checked are several meters long, we checked all three of them, me, my wife and the baby, three times, in the end the egg was so well hidden inside the hedge that we had to ask for help based on hot-warm-cold.
Fifth clue
The fifth egg was instead simple, it was located in the well where the current that operates the pond pump arrives, apart from the removal of the cast iron cover, which obviously had to make an adult, the position was immediately identified.
Sixth clue
The sixth clue took us to the garage, where, in a refrigerator no longer used, the Easter chocolate bunny was hiding, which was immediately cut into pieces and eaten ...
Seventh and final clue
Here we are finally at the most important treasure: the chocolate Easter egg. It was hidden in a huge pot in a locked cabinet. Under the formwork there are several lockers, three of which are locked, the pot was at the bottom of one of these. The endeavor was not easy, but the chocolate egg was eventually found.
Here it is still whole shortly before being torn to pieces by my son.
In short, to conclude, we spent an hour all together having fun and eating chocolate, my son had fun and we too, all in all. Surely those who had the most fun were the grandparents, both to organize the treasure hunt, and to see us running around the garden looking for eggs.
A nice idea to surely repeat next year too!
