Niigata ("new lagoon") 🗾

I live in the East Ward of Niigata City, Japan. Niigata is kind of like the Seattle of Japan, to me. Weather-wise, it is often gray and rainy. The East Ward "Higashi-ku" is an industrial port district and, as gloomy as it can be sometimes, I love it here. The beautiful scenery--mountains, sea, rice plains, forest and rivers--of Niigata City and prefecture make it all worth while. Plus, the seafood is second to none.
