I've been a freelance Japanese translator for about a year. After graduating college, I lived in Kyushu for two years on the infamous JET Program; then, once I got back to the US, I worked at Honda for a couple years before going freelance. Most of my time recently is spent translating, writing, reading, running, socializing, and pouring my precious life into Hearthstone and Pokémon Go to No End Whatsoever. There are a guitar and watercolor set in my room, but I'm not sure who put them here or how they're supposed to help me catch the final 12,397 magikarp I need for a gyarados. Amid the soldering kit, Russian alphabet blocks, mathematics texts, and juggling balls, there is an old daruma doll with one eye painted in. I think this is supposed to signify something. Not sure what.
I've lived in a lot of different places and all of my friends are what most people kindly call "characters," so I'll probably be posting a lot about Japan, my weird experiences, my writing, and my thoughts on things. You can ask me about things, too, although I'm not a thing expert or anything.
I tried to take a photo of me with cleavage and a sign saying the cleavage was exposed on such-and-such date, but this kept popping up so we'll have to make do.
