The stained glass artist @Yoshiko has given me a sun catcher at Steemfest
フェストで @Yoshikoさんから素敵なサンキャッチャーをいただきました。
It has a Japanese motif of an origami crane, a sakura flower and an ume plum flower connected with a string. I only opened the package with the sun catcher when I got back to Germany. So I had no idea, it was something this special. The moment I saw it, I saw this image in my head that I wanted to make into an illustration.
日本の三つ定番モチーフで、鶴に桜の花と梅の花です。ドイツに戻って、パッケージを開けて、サンキャッチャーを手にした時、すぐイラストにしたいと思いました。
This is the first sketch. It was still very warm at that time :) 最初のスケッチですが、まだ暖かくて、半袖になっています。
Then it got colder so I changed the illustration to fit the season :) 寒くなった時に服装も変えて、ちょっと季節に合わせました^^
Since I didn't like how the hair turned out in the previous drawing, I made a new version. 更にもう一回描き直しました。髪の毛と顔を変えました。
Inked the final sketch :) ペン入れです。
Usually I just use a brush with ink to add in the blacks, but not this time. I have a little bit of plastic tones lying around, so I decided to try them out :)
普段はベタ入れして完成しますが、今回は新しい方法を使ってみたいと思いました。二年前に日本で買ったトーンを初めて使ってみようと思いました。
Analogue tones are fun...and a bit complicated. I think I might get hooked :D
トーンを貼ってみて、複雑な点もありましたが、楽しかったです。なんとなくハマりそう。。。
