◆What's Volu-beit？
Volu-beit is a coined word consisting of volunteer and Arbeit.
Agriculture experience on the farm or ranch, assistance of camping instructor at the campsite, assistance at accommodation such as B&B and Temporary staff such as NPOs and volunteer organizations. It does not aim for high wages. It is aimed at meeting with friends, experiencing nature, working experience at a special workplace, acquiring knowledge, skills and experience.

◆Reason why I go there.
In the last few weeks, I found a company I want to go while searching for jobs！But, I tried inquiring by telephone and said that the company is not going to hire mid-career now. I went to another company interview. But, I thought that "I wish I can go to where I want to go most", so I decided to wait until the recruitment resumed.

Volu-beit is an agricultural version of a resort part time job. The difference with a resort part time job is that wages are low. Because it must pay transportation expenses, it is working by free. ◆Prepare
Well, what should I bring? I originally lived in Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya in the city, so I have never done agriculture at all.But, 90% of the volu-beiter is like agricultural beginners, so there is no problem, maybe. When I called the farmer, he told that you should bring your hat. It is a hot season. I bought a broad-brimmed hat.

If I were wearing a straw hat, everyone fool me "You seem to be doing agriculture seriously,but you start from the style!".
If I were wearing a cloth hat, everyone told me "Are you coming over to play? Please do not think that agriculture is play!".
I bought two hats because these reason.
when I go to a trip, I do not bring much luggage. but, this time, it is an unknown area, so I prepare carefully. I bought rubber gloves. 突然ですが、明日から１週間、農業体験のボラバイトに行ってきます🍀
◆ボラバイトって？
volunteer(ボランティア)とArbeit(アルバイト)を合わせた造語。
農場・牧場等での農業体験や、キャンプ場等でのキャンプ・スポーツインストラクター補助、ペンション等の宿泊施設での補助業務、NPOやボランティア団体等の臨時スタッフなど。高い賃金よりも、仲間との出会いや自然体験、アルバイトでの募集も少ない特殊な職場での就業体験や知識・技術・経験の習得を重視する。

◆なぜ行くのか
ここ数週間、職探しをしていく中で行きたい会社が見つかりました！！しかし、電話で問い合わせてみると今は中途採用は行っていないとのこと。他の会社にも面接に行きましたが、やっぱり「一番行きたいところに行けたらいいな〜」と思ったので、募集再開まで待つことにしました。
その間、お金が尽きていくのはマズいので、短期のアルバイトでもしようかと思い、ググりました。すると、ワヅカナジカン援農プロジェクト2018というHPを見つけて、「これは凄く行きたい！」と思いました。
少し立ち止まって、人生経験に彩りを。農業・田舎暮らしが体験できる、3ヶ月間だけの茶農家仕事。
この言葉にものすごく惹かれました。と同時に、これは時間のある今しかで出来ないことだなぁと感じました。ところが…
このプロジェクトの募集期間も終わっていたんですよねーー😭ww
何事も早めに動かないとダメですね〜2ヶ月ダラダラしていたのが悔やまれる…。
そこで、こういった働き方ができるところは他にないのかググりました。
で、検索結果に出たのが「ボラバイト」というサイト。サイトはコチラ
◆田舎暮らしが体験できるが、不安要素も。
ボラバイトは簡単に言うと、リゾートバイトの農業バージョン。リゾバとの違いは賃金が低いこと。交通費も出ないので、実質タダ働きだけど、タダで旅行に行って農業を学べると考えられる人にとっては良いかも。もちろん、寝床や食事は提供されるし、何より自然豊かな場所で暮らせるというのが僕にとって大きい。老後の夢だった田舎暮らしが早めに実現した感じ。
ただし、農家を選び間違えるとひどい扱いをされるという情報もあるので、その不安はあります。そのあたりの実態は行ってみないと分からないので、お伝えしていきたいと思います。
◆準備
さて、何を持っていけば良いのか。そもそも僕は大阪・京都・名古屋とわりと都会に住んできたので、農業は全くやったことがありません！まぁ情報によると、ボラバイターの9割は農業初心者らしいので、おそらく大丈夫でしょう。多分w
農家の方に電話してみると、必ず帽子は持参して欲しいとのこと。暑い時期ですもんね。
ということで。アウトドアショップでつばの長い帽子を買ってきました（╹◡╹）

裏地にUPF50+の素材が用いられており、紫外線をシャットアウト。
FJALL RAVENのポリエステル / 綿 の帽子。
軽い。ワックスコーティングにより高い防水性。キツネがかわいい。
迷ったんで、両方買ってやったぜ！←わるいくせ
麦わら帽子だと「あいつ、ガチで農業しにきてるぜ、カタチから入るタイプかよ！」という声が聞こえてきそうで、布っぽいの帽子だと「おい、遊びに来てるんじゃねーぞ、農業なめとんのか！」と言われそうで。
どっちでも対応できるようにダブル買いしましたww現場の温度感がいまいち分からないんですよねー。
旅行だと割とミニマリストなのですが、今回はちょっと未知の領域なので、多めに準備しています。ゴム手袋は多分貸してもらえるのだとは思うけど、念のため！なんとかリュックに全部入れたいです✨
