A New Look at News
This Thursday, Sndbox will be presenting to the current class of journalistic entrepreneurs at the CUNY Tow-Knight Center of Entrepreneurial Journalism. We were invited to speak to these professionals and share our experiences with Steemit, how the Steem blockchain works, and potential integration into the field of modern-day news and reporting.
Nestled in the City University of New York’s School of Journalism, the T-K Center looks to tackle the issues of unsubstantiated, polarizing, agenda-pursuing, and corporate dominated news and empower individuals to create their own organizations and practices.
The current cohort
We’re excited to present to the fellows and open up the dialogue of blockchain-powered media. There’s tremendous opportunity to revamp the norms of the industry including copywriting, fact and identity verification, sourcing, and much more. We’ll be sure to report back from the talk with our main points and takeaways!
