The other day I was in school and a teacher gave a speech on her experiences and her own journey so far in life. What surprised me with this teacher was despite hating school when she was younger, nearly getting expelled three times and not being an academic student, she still became a teacher! Prior to her becoming a teacher, she spoke about her working in the United States for some years, travelling the world and becoming a flight attendant.
What was really meaningful to me was when she said "she wanted to give something back" for the education she got. The reason why her story was so powerful was (unlike any other teacher I knew) she actually wasn't afraid to express her true inner feelings from when she was a teenager like myself!
So, if there was anything I was going to take from her speech, it would be that grades don't define your future and to have confidence in your own ability. Don't hear me wrong, I do believe education is very important and I do take my studying seriously! However, I believe that if you work hard at anything, your work will always pay off eventually - no matter how good you were at it to begin with.

So I ask myself a question... where do I want to be in 10 years time? Where do I want my journey to lead me? In ten years time I'll be 25 years old and I want to set my self the goal of being able to run my own business and to have my own home. If I'm looking even more into the future, I hope to help people in need all across the world. So I to, like the teacher at my school, are giving something back to humanity. In my opinion, what adds value to a person is not how much money they make but by how much they try to help others less fortunate than themselves.

Now I ask the same question to you... where do you want to be in ten years time and where will your journey lead you?
For now, I guess time will only tell... but wherever your journey takes you, make it as special and unique as you are!
Thanks for taking time out to read this. You guys are amazing! Hope everyone's having a great week. :) Jonathan and Matthew.
