This week the theme for #killerpix is dinner. Go check out @thealliance and @killerwhale who host this contest. Since I already posted all my photos from the holiday dinner I thought I'd do something a little different. This was taken on one of my camping trips this summer in Wisconsin. That night I had pork chops wrapped in bacon, flame grilled over an open fire. They were absolutely delicious.
Now I personally love cooking over an open fire but it is not necessarily for everyone. You have to pay close attention and make sure you have proper heat. To many flames and you will just burn it. If you don't have enough your food will never cook. The flavor is my favorite thing about it. Plus I like to think it's more natural.
