Project Spotlight - @sndbox reaches out to creative individuals and communities of all experience levels. Our goal is to raise awareness towards new users, seasoned Steemians and impactful Steem-powered projects. Today, we spoke with the team behind @kr-marketing, a Sndbox Sponsored project with a powerful vision for the future of creativity and marketing on the blockchain.
@sndbox: Hello @leesol and @lessongyi! For everyone getting to know you two for the first time, tell us a bit about yourselves.
Hello! We are illustrators, @leesol and @leesongyi. We’ve been posting our illustrations on Steemit ever since we came here last May. We’re also proud members of Sndbox. As you all know, Sndbox has been offering incubating system to help Steemians settle in Steemit and to support them with their projects in real life using cryptocurrency. Sndbox has inspired us to think how we can contribute to the ecosystem of Steemit and after months of consideration and preparation, we’ve made a new collaborative account - @kr-marketing.
@sndbox: What is the goal of @kr-marketing?
The goal of @kr-marketing is simple. We intend to increase the number of users on Steemit, and push forward its good content. If the number of Steemit users increase, it’ll attract new investments from organizations and companies and that’ll ultimately help raise the value of Steem. In order to do this, what we’re planning to do the following:
1- Distribute Infographics. As you know, there are lots of high-quality contents regarding cryptocurrency on Steemit. We’re making them into infographics which are not only easy to understand, but also can be easily shared via SNS. We’re posting infographics to Steemit (through the @kr-marketing account), Facebook, and Naver Post (a major Korean blog source). We’re hoping the Steemit URL in the infographics will attract more people to the platform.
2- On-line/Off-line Advertisement. Some part of the author rewards of the infographic posts go to the original authors. Another part covers operational costs and the rest is saved for the cost of advertisements. We’re considering advertising on Facebook, on transportation vehicles, on billboards, etc. Currently, however, Facebook bans all kinds of advertisement regarding cryptocurrency. So as of now, we’re aiming for off-line. When we have enough Steem/SBD through infographic posts, we’ll jump right into producing real-world advertisements.
3- Influencer Marketing. What would happen if powerful influencers came to Steemit and became star Steemians? Just imagine how much positive impact they can bring about Steemit and cryptocurrency. We’re going to make detailed plans and implement them one by one.
@sndbox: What is your current status and some of your future goals?
Among the projects we mentioned above, we’re currently focusing on posting infographics. We’re very glad and grateful that people like them and those posts have high views. Once we save enough money, we’ll put up an ad. We’re thinking about events held in colleges and movie theaters, which are relatively less expensive. If the number of Steemit users increase, we plan to do marketing with companies. Ultimately, we hope to persuade partner institutions to invest in Steem.
@sndbox: How can Steemians get involved and support you?
Right now we’re making infographics in the KR community only, mainly because there are no translators to do this project with. We hope to translate the infographics into English, so that Steemians outside of KR can also enjoy and leverage the content. We’re doing our best to promote @kr-marketing, which can motivate content providers to make high-quality posts and introduce Steemit to outside world. Your interest and support toward @kr-marketing articles will be greatly appreciated. Lastly, we’d like to thank @sndbox for the inspiration and support, thank you!
