If you've got the gift of the gab, or the gift of gab, you have the natural ability to talk in a way that people find entertaining or persuasive.
만약 여러분이 gift of the gab을 가지고 있다고 한다면, 사람들이 즐거워하거나 설득력 있다고 생각하는 방식으로 말하는 선천적인
능력이 있다는 것을 말합니다. 우리나라 말로 한마디로 요약하면 '말재주, 말주변' 이라고 할 수 있겠습니다.
For example:
- All good salespeople have the gift of the gab, so people trust them and believe whatever they say.
좋은 판매원들은 말재주가 뛰어나서 사람들이 그들이 어떠한 말을 하던 간에 믿게 됩니다. - If you want to be a politician, you'll do much better if you were born with the gift of the gab.
정치인이 되고 싶다면, 말재주가 뛰어난 채로 태어나는게 더 좋을 거야.
Note: "The gift of the gab" is used more in British and Australian English, while "the gift of gab" is used more in American English.
