Sleeping Volcan Baru During Rainy Season in Panama

The ever-present Volcan Baru watches over our town in rainy and dry season. During dry season, we were able to see it pretty much all day, every day. Since rainy season has started this last week, we haven't gotten a clear view of the volcano, except for a few minutes when it peeked through the clouds in the afternoon. He sleeps, and we hope he stays that way!

I find that a lot of my pictures involve the volcano. It's just the most unique thing about our place here. Not every house has a great view of the volcano, but we are blessed with this beautiful landscape right outside of our window!

On rainy afternoons, I am thankful for the sunny mornings most rainy season days start with! It's amazing how much rain soaks in around here and I can't wait to see everything green up again as the rains continue to come every afternoon! The rivers refill, the waterfalls return, and plants perk back up! Although most people wouldn't consider a cloudy day beautiful, we are thankful to have the rain back to refresh our ground!

Job 5:10 - He provides rain for the earth;
he sends water on the countryside.
