Busy busy with work and getting ready to have a yard sale this weekend but I wanted to take a quick break and make a post with a couple "keeper" photos from Sunday's sunset photo adventure with @jarvie. It was a ton of fun hanging out and shoot some of my favorite local areas with @jarvie while he was in town. Sunday evening at Secret Cove, Lake Tahoe was the grand finale, in my opinion, I liked all the photos I got on our other shoots, but this last sunset we shoot was my favorite.
My only problem with this shoot is that I can't decide which of these two photos I like best. Please help me out:
Which of the two photos below do you like best? The one with the sun in the shot, or the one after the sun had set?

Both images above were shot with a Canon 5DS R and a 16-35mm lens set at 16mm. I used a polarizing filter in order to cut through the glare on the surface of Lake Tahoe and bring out those blues, aquas, and greens. I also used two graduated neutral density filters on the lens in order to darken the sky, which in turn lightens the foreground and brings out even more of those lake colors. They were both shot at an ISO of 50. The top image was a 13 second shot at an aperture of f22. The bottom shot was a 30 second shot at an aperture of f18. They were both edited in Photoshop's Camera RAW feature where the shadows were lightened, the highlights were darkened, the color was balanced, and the vibrancy and saturation were increased a bit, but not much.
