Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale is a seafood restaurant with locations in New Haven, Westbrook and Madison, Connecticut. It originally opened as a roadside clam stand in 1979. I recently stopped by the Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale in New Haven for a meal.

When we first sat down, they brought over some bread & butter and we ordered our drinks. I got a fresh Sea Hag IPA on tap which is brewed by New England Brewing Company just a few miles up the road from the restaurant.

For an appetizer the table split an order of raw clams. They are served with lemon, cocktail sauce and some horseradish to dress them up nicely.

For a main course I ordered the lobster roll. It came with a side of french fries and coleslaw. The lobster roll was solid. You can never go wrong with a lobster roll! It wasn't the best but it was still a lobster roll. I sprinkled some malt vinegar on the fries they were pretty good too.

Overall Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale is a classic Connecticut seafood restaurant. It's always serving up fresh fish dishes and more. I recommend it if you're in the area and in the mood for some good seafood.
