Dad Draws Post-It Notes For His Daughter’s Lunchbox Every Day For Past 3 Years

Meet Rob Biddulph, London-based author, illustrator, designer, and one of the coolest dads around. Because when his youngest daughter, Poppy was shifting from nursery to a primary school, he felt the need to let her know that dad is always going to be there for her. And he did that in true illustrator fashion.

On Poppy’s first day of school, Rob left a creative cartoon drawing on a sticky note in his daughter’s lunchbox: “That evening she asked what I was going to draw for the following day. 600 post-its later we’re still going,” Rob told Metro. It’s been almost three years now but Rob has no plans of stopping. The tricky bit is to come up with new ideas, as he’s already done his and her favourite cartoon characters. Thankfully, Poppy is picking up new interests, for example, now she’s obsessed with Star Wars, so Rob has done a whole series dedicated to the theme. The only other problem is that it annoys his wife: “I get all the credit for the drawings when she’s the one that actually makes the sandwiches!” jokes Rob.More
