What up my Steemians, welcome to the @D00k13 Digest, this is something I put together while I was on SaltSpring Island this weekend. I had a bit of a slow week with video uploads last week and I wish to start this week off with consistency in my uploads so I am sharing what I created. I never intended to upload this video but I think it came out pretty well and it helps to highlight the weekly giveaway which I am hosting. In future recaps I aim to include more pictures which I have not uploaded, try tell a story of the day through images or just get a message across. Really all I was doing is playing to see if I could create something that will grab your attention without need of being on camera. Next step will be doing voice overs adding in the narration to fill in the blanks of the story.
Using the GoPro Quik software makes easy work of the picture transitions along with timing for the music but to add voice overs I will need to take the video one step further into Splice by GoPro. Both applications are completely free and this is all along the agenda of showing how using just a smartphone for editing you can create something to be proud of on the go. Last thing I need to work on is mobile uploads to DTube as with iOS there still is no working options. I hope to get the YouTube to DTube uploader project back on track but I have suspicions that an entire application will need to be built from the ground up to make uploads secure and not require a server for piggyback operations.

This was a hectic week, the smoke here is making my energy levels low and work is still busy as always. I have had a few situations to deal with as I step back into discord but I am no longer approaching them in the same way, I will not be offended by others offence is the one thing I have had to continually tell myself! I will however blog my thoughts everyday so if your apart of those thoughts do not be surprised if my works touch upon our discussions or lack thereof!
I have been participating in @stellabelle's Banana Program which is aimed at supporting @Partiko with interaction and rewards for participants. One step of participation is curating new Steemians from the #introduceyourself tag which anything that helps encourage newbies on the platform I am all for! I will admit my own curation for newbies was aimed previously at @DTube specifically but this program is giving me the opportunity to search out those creators whom may not know of DTube and encourage them to join. I stumbled across one author who is a aspiring writer/actor/musician whom through looking at her works I would say could be the next Lady Steem.
I stepped away from discord for a while, I am back now and really glad to see how the #OneLoveDTube community is evolving without me! Ideas talked about have now come into reality with more projects on the go. Those I have left incharge seem to be doing a better job then I ever could and have really made the community flourish through interaction and positive reinforcements.
Overall it was a good week, I have myself back on track with the community activities and my own personal help plus I have been able to help a fellow steemian using my outreach. @Wayso was a large part of my focus for helping another steemian as he has been struck with a string of bad luck, I proved to myself I can help people which is a very heartwarming to know my efforts do not go unnoticed. I am now trying to encourage @Vincy's brother @Wayso to join us on @DTube and you could consider this video an example of how even the pictures you take can be a interesting story and do not require you to be on camera as I feel this is part of his worry.
@Wayso dude I started in on vlogging to defeat my fear of being on camera, look at me now! I did a freaking BananaRant turning a painful life event into something with a little comedic value and I was able to smile and feel good about it! Find what you love to share and do it with passion you will find the support you desire and I am the living message of that point! Seriously "if I can do it so can you" as I always say and if you need any help just hit me up on discord I will give you my direct digits even!
I feel like a father watching his children take over the family business only to watch it out perform anything he had previously thought possible, GOOD WORK TEAM!
