Humanity might fear the process of death but the same doesn't go for nature. Between life and death lies immortality held within the beauty of nature.
In mysticism, there is more to death than you think. It is interpreted in a different way, one that can reveal the beauty of a soul as much as a plant reveals with its leaves.
The old must "Die" to make room for the new, a never-ending cycle of life and death. The pure representation of infinity held within the simplest of things, a leaf.
As summer comes the leaves are given birth so they may protect the tree from heat and collect extra moisture, yet when winter shows itself onto the horizon they quickly wither away so the tree may save the energy needed to pass through the cold and grow, this cycle gives the tree an opportunity to be even stronger next summer.
We are not much different than the trees my friends, the only difference is that our style of life has made us detach from our roots and roll with the winds, getting bashed as we tumble on the road of development.
As the leaves die to make room for growth, so do our ideas and thoughts. Summer and winter are constants, they change the attitude of trees as do they change ours. We would go to the beach to cool down at summer and we would stay home in the winter.
The only difference is that we would chop down the trees due to our inability to survive the cold, where the trees would not do the same. It is because they are adaptive where we are rational.
Flowers bloom to show their beauty, they are like the feminine side of nature. They are not much different from our female gender. When a bee collects nectar and pollen from the flower of a plant it helps it reproduce and sustain itself. The same way men provide for their female partners. They provide work as a masculine structure, afterward seeking sustenance from their beloved.
You might take nature for granted, but when we place nature and humanity on the scale, nature would have outlasted the human species. The difference between us and nature is that we can't co-exist with one another on a mass scale, this is why we are inferior in comparison. One would see a tree as a source of heat where I would see it as a source of divinity and wisdom, for within its core mechanics it is beyond anything a human being can achieve. We may function on a different level, but when we strip away the veil of judgment we are left with the essence and truth.
Next time you see a dead flower, know this. Within the essence of its death is held the meaning of life itself on its core function. Judge it not, nor take it for granted, for you would have placed a veil of illusion over the meaning of life. The answers to existence are held within everything which exists as a living, self-sustained form. The difference between the structures that life is represented in does not change its meaning or function, it only brings on diversity and a means of experience, we are a living sentient representation of the universe and there is only one thing that the universe doesn't know and that thing is "not knowing" itself. The only thing stopping us from knowing is the lack of motivation to change the way we see.
Death is the protector of life and life is the process of death.
