Who Enjoy's Running on the Beach?? (Not me)

Don't get me wrong... the sunrise was beautiful.. but that was the most painful run of my life!

Here are a few benefits of running on the beach:

-You burn 30% more calories:

Running on sand makes you work harder. With each stride, your feet sink a little, forcing you to exert more energy than running on tarmac, and burning around 30 per cent more calories.

-Beaches are a natural assault course:

Running in the sand is great resistance training and strengthens the legs!

-Beautiful scenery:

Running in a setting where you are surrounded by beauty will make the run less painful and help uplift your mood.

So overall... if you live near a beach and are into challenging yourself, go for a run!
