Early this morning, I went out for a walk around our neighborhood. It isn't a routine of mine but I do it whenever there is a need for me or when I wanted to. I had a bit of free time for myself and so I decided to grab my camera and did a series of photos of my walk.
It was a pleasing morning, the sun is slightly up in the sky with its warm light. This is the time of the day that makes me really want to take photos. The lighting isn't that harsh and the colors of the trees and plants are still vibrant because of the morning mist.
Talking about morning mist, the picture above might not show it clearly and so I did few macro shots on the flowers along the reservoir. Let me show you:
Whenever I'm in my morning walk, I usually find myself staring on the reservoir for a few minutes before I move on to the next photo. I does make me feel calm and relax, the gentle waves do have a hypnotic effect. If it isn't for the photos that I have to make, I would be staying longer and recollect my thoughts.
My staring at the waves made me loose some time, I didn't realize it until I felt the sun is getting warmer. Right a this point, the light is getting harsh on its effect to the photos and so I decided to make a few more photos fast.
Since summer is approaching, the climate is getting warmer also. I learned that for the past two weeks, Singapore is reaching its highest UV index level of 15. Needless to say that this is an extreme case as the usual average level is only reaching at around level 6 to level 9. Even some of the trees couldn't handle the heat as shown on the photo that I just took this morning.
During this season, I've been trying to avoid the mid day sun or I would either apply any type of sun screen suitable for this climate. It would be best to stay under a shade or go somewhere with enough shelter.
These are the kind of walk that helps me clear the clutter away from my thoughts, a way to decompress from the stress of life. To breath a fresh air is becoming a luxury especially when you are living a city life. An event that is worthy to spend some time off, and I'm happy to be sharing it with you my Steemit friends.
I hope you find it meaningful and valuable to read. Lastly, Thank you for your support.
