While we have lots of great events scheduled, please be aware that two elements of our epic weekend are specifically offered as fundraisers towards our humanitarian outreach:
- FOOD!
Of course you are welcome to bring your own food for the weekend if you want, OR you could let us take care of all harvesting, prepping, transporting, cooking, and cleaning up so you can focus on relaxing at the lake!
We're providing the opportunity to order fully catered, super delicious, super nutritious food from us for one, some, or all of your meals throughout the weekend. We operate to the highest degree of sustainability, and create top notch, unique dishes to please vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores -- your satisfaction is guaranteed!
If you would like to take advantage of this primo offering, please order in advance so we are sure to bring enough but not ridiculously too much food. All we ask is a donation to cover the cost of your meal(s), and we offer discounts for ordering bulk packages. To order or for more info, please visit our website.
Here are some of the high vibe dishes we have created before that we may use for inspiration this weekend:
caramelized onion, apple, rosemary, and goat cheese pizza with black pepper and honey
gingered mushrooms and peppers
fully loaded mashed potatoes
bread pudding with chocolate
- CLIFF JUMPING! Oh yes!!!
Lake Whitney has 20 - 60 foot cliffs from which to jump into the lake, and we not only want to take the challenge, but we want to share the thrill to create more good for ALL!
You can sponsor an Eden Knight to jump off a 60 foot cliff, and we will use the funds to feed, clothe, house, and educate more people than ever before!
- Quinn & Riley will take the plunge for every $50 pledge
- Sara will jump for $300 because she's at least 6 times more scared
- Inok is floppy, thus it poses a more serious threat to her. She will jump only if the price is right.
Do you want to play with us?? We will record the whole event and share an exciting video with those who cannot be with us at the lake.
A few more notes on our epic event:
- Lake Whitney State Park has a $5 day use fee per person, as well as a fee for camping. More info can be found here: http://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-whitney>
- We invite you to camp with us too! Lake Whitney State Park also has a small campsite fee that will depend on how many people deep we roll--we have 4 campsites reserved so the more, the merrier PLUS the lower per person campsite fee! We estimate $2.5 - $5 per person. Please RSVP if you want to be part of our camping group so we have an accurate headcount!
- There are bathrooms with showers available at the campsites.
- Please let us know if you want to caravan to Lake Whitney with us.
This is going to be EPIC!
