I've tasted many different hot sauces in my day.
Some like their hot sauce to be pure heat.
Some like a little sweetness to their sauce.
Others still like their hot sauce to taste vinegary.
Lately there's been a real craze for Sriracha hot sauce.
You can see from this picture taken at Boston Market that Sriracha is one of their options.
Boston Market serves rotisserie style chickens, pastas, and other meals.
Their not the only place serving their guests Sriracha.
I've been working at my restaurant for over 11 years.
It's a steakhouse.
We only have two types of hot sauce.
Tabasco sauce and Sriracha.
We had it before the craze even began but now it seems that everyone has Sriracha on their shelf.
I don't blame them because it's one of my favorites.
I'm in Texas so the choices you see a lot are Tapatio sauce and Valentina sauce as well.
While a lot of people like Valentina.........I would go with Tapatio any day of the week.
Tapatio does not taste vinegary at all but the flavor is hard to describe.
I like to cook chicken breasts after smothering them in Tapatio.
It makes the whole house smell like peppers.
You might consider going to a hotter sauce as well.
Something like El Yucateco Habanero sauce.
These bottles are tiny but they are very hot.
Sometimes after work it's nice to get a couple of bean burritos from Taco Bell and smother them with this habanero sauce.
You can then eat them with a nice cold beer.
Talk about refreshing.
We've got so many options to choose from.
What's your favorite hot sauce?
