When the could have and would have become what if. Task #6: What if...

Challenge number 6 has a story. The background story: Considering the future of the Creative Writing Challenge. I told myself: What if... it turns into a regular format with seasons. And then quite unexpectedly BOOM! I caught myself thinking about the “what if” phrase itself. I thought, why not suggest you guys writing a what if story.

After some tweaks here's how the final version of the task looks:

Rules: Write a 'What if...' story that develops gradually. Try reaching as many stages as you can, but don't be a perfectionist. Anything beyond 10 stages will be considered unnecessary. The goal here is to help your creativeness expand to a new level through a chain of related аassumptions. What doesn't look possible at the beginning appears quite probable at the end.

The What if game.

The what if in practice

The what if team.

The game

What if expecting more was less? You expected the class to be challenging. You were challenged to grow from not knowing to knowing. Knowing led to understanding. Understanding did not come without much time and effort.

What if time and effort in and out of the classroom lead to unexpected friendships. Friendships, like networking, created opportunities. Opportunities to qualify for several internships. Several options to a single one, maybe even a career?

The practice

What if training and talent was hard work waiting for an opportunity? The talent got you in the door. In the door with plenty of work to keep you late. Late nights and early morning is hard work, but are you working harder and smarter?

The Team

What if you thought you could? Henry Ford said it best, “Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right.” If you never got up that morning, made that choice, took that step, then you wouldn’t have gone where you went. See what you saw, met who you needed, and today would look a little different.
