You don't have to wait until you're perfect before you perform

A lot of the time when you are watching a performance, you might see someone criticise the performance in the audience: "That performance sucks. So and so is doing this wrong. There is another mistake. It is so ugly and bad etc. etc."

The funny thing is, the person doing the criticising is usually someone who is not willing to go up on stage and perform for themselves. Simply ask them: Why don't you go up and perform? And chances are they will decline. Because it's always easier to criticise someone else.

My kung fu master once told me, when you perform for someone, you are not asking for their validation. You are training yourself to become better at conquering your own nerves and do the job correctly under pressure.

This is my performance of a foundational Shaolin boxing routine on Youtube. You can also see it on Youku (link provided).
