I like to go dumpster diving. You know, jumping into big giant trashcans. Yeah, I said it.
Does that make me white trash?!??
Probably.
But I don't care because I've found GOLD in dumpsters before!
Not actual gold...
...but I've found things that I've sold for enough money to buy a pacman charm on the Mene website:

It all started when I was in college and a wise friend once told me "you know during move out week, you can find some amazing things in the dumpsters."
And that's how a group of 5 of us ended up jumping into trashcans together for about 4 days in a row.
And let me tell you, it was worth it.
Let me tell you some things I found!
Things I've Found In Dumpsters
👍 This exact, fully framed, perfect condition Audrey Hepburn poster. I gave it to my roommate as a gift (hey, I windexed it first!) because she was beyond obsessed with Audrey.
👍 A magic bullet blender, never used, in the original box!!!! How could people be so wasteful?! It was worth $50 USD at the time! Sold it. For dang near $50. 😳😁
👍A FREAKING WORKING IPOD!!!!! This was the best section ever: the area of campus where all of the student-athletes lived. Oh.my. goodness. All of the basketball players got iPods engraved with their names on them as gifts from the university. One player threw his in the dumpster. Yeah... sold it.
👍An area rug for my dorm room!
👍A shower caddy for my dorm room that ironically matched the area rug
👍A floor lamp that ironically matched the rug and shower caddy
👍A trashcan that ironically matched the rug, shower caddy AND the floor lamp. Things were just getting weird now.
👍3 wrap-around art canvases that were already painted on. Dude. Canvases are like $8-$10 each. And I LOVE to paint. So I painted over them (something that would match my new rug and lamp, of course)
👍 A white TV stand that I put my tv on
👍 Working mini-fridge
So really, you could decorate your living room OR your dorm room this way (poor college kid WINNING).

So there you have it.
My room ended up being kinda green-pink-brown themed because everything I found was that color theme. Not first choice but HEY, it was mostly FREE which was definitely a win!

P.S. That is NOT a sorority poster on my fridge. I just have to clarify that I was never in a sorority. It is very important to me that you know this. Haha.
