Comes every year in April here in San Antonio. It's HUGE. And It all started in 1891 . It generates over $400 million for the City in this 10 day event. Well over 3 million people attend.
And it celebrates San Antonio's rich heritage of Tex-Mex and Mexican American culture. And is a major party throughout the whole downtown.
The Decision to Go...
It was another on the spur of the moment decision by our family to make the trek to downtown. The kids and I were at Mickey D's right after school eating burgers and fries. Wife called coming home from work and asked if we wanted to go to the kickoff celebration of Fiesta San Antonio. We didn't hesitant and said HELL YES !! ( well I said that not my kiddos) :)

( Below) There is this strange Tradition at Fiesta ( at least strange to my wife and I lol) where people collect these Fiesta Week medals every year to make a Collection. And then they wear them around (draped around their bodies) like a decorated War Hero. Just bizarre to me ;)
( Below) This guy went all out. Must have been collecting them for years lol

(Below) Wonderful art at Fiesta. My oldest baby girl really loved this one :)
(Below) Here she is earlier playing in the Splash Pad :)
( Below) At Fiesta people wear these Marvelous hats/sombreros they build and decorate themselves. This one was really unique. She even had our Signature Tower of San Antonio coming out of her hat with lights all around. Really cool

Making the trek back to our car , with a slight buzz of course, I caught this last shot of beautiful downtown San Antonio ( the Natuion's 7th largest City)
Hope you enjoyed little slice of my Life,
Robert :)
