sWhen I was a child and I lived in the little village in the country, during the Summer I usually went to play close to the little river where my father had his veggies garden. While my father worked in the garden, me and my sister played in the fresh water (it was no dangerous, because it was really a small river with just few water ^_^).
It was a nice time and even if we couldn't go in vacation (we didn't have enough money to do it), we enjoyed our Summer in many different funny ways ^_^
You have to know that, here in Italy, many people go to the sea for 1 or 2 weeks during the Summer, it's really common for families who live not close to the sea, but I've always preferred to spend my money (when I had money ^_^) visiting cities in other countries than place myself in village on the sea for a couple of weeks.
So, I've always spent my Summer staying at home, enjoying the little things that a Summer in my city can give me. For example, walking on the desert streets in August and visiting the museums when people is out for vacation.
I also love to walk in the parks, under the trees and enjoying the silent green areas! Another thing that I like to do is put my feet in the fresh water of the river, like a little child ^_^
Waiting to refresh my feet, I enjoy the ducks and the white egret who do the same!
