Education
Education is a must in our lives and many of us have already been in universities. I remember myself spending lots of hours studying hard for my exams and going to my faculty every single day. The modern time brings some new realities into our lives. This post is completely based on my reviews. I am going to try to tell you what I think about education life and changing trends. Like many other things, life is very changeable and we should think about everything, considering the time that we are living now.
When I finished my university education in 2013, I realized that university education couldn't bring many advantages to me except a diploma which doesn't mean much anymore. I still have this opinion when I observe my students in the language school that I am working now. Having a diploma or listening to lecturers who think mostly about their payments from governments or school doesn't change your life a lot. We have to be aware of the fact that we are the ones who are going to shape our lives.
Initiative
To be successful in this tough competition, one of the most important key words is initiation. Nobody will give you the key of success If you don't put any effort and make a difference by yourself. There are lots of graduates at the moment in my country and many of them are unemployed. People usually blame our economy. They might be right in some points, but they never question what they did in their university life. People must realize that going to university or holding a piece of paper which is called diploma won't help them to be successful.
When I was in the third year of my studies, I suddenly realized that I was just like many other students who used to go to faculty, sit on my chair , open the book that was given to me and listen to professor who wasn't so eager to teach something. I was supposed to practise my skills that I was expected to gain in my major. Even though I was a language student who was going to be a potential English teacher, I couldn't even speak a few words or write a good essay. Then I decided to be initiative and go to Poland to improve myself. It was one of the best decisions in my life.
Action
If you want to get achievements, you must take action by putting the books or lesson aside. We must know that there are many people like me who are expected to do the same things in university. There is one crucial question here. If we all do the same things, how can I be better than others in the rest of my life? When I look at the rising number of unemployment in Turkey, I wasn't surprised to see that there are many unemployed engineers and teachers that are really popular profession in the world.
There is a significant problem about these professions. People think, as they study these departments, everything will be okay, but it is not the reality. If you don't join trainings, go abroad or learn new languages, it is not possible to be successful when there are many other people who are keeping eye on the same positions that you are dreaming. If you want to make that dream become real, you have to make a difference, be initiative and make action! Otherwise, you will be a part of losers in this tough life.
Be unique
When we look at promising jobs that are getting popular day by day, you can see why I am telling you these things. One of the most promising jobs at the moment is IT which stands of Information Technology. Many companies are looking for skilled people who can bring new ideas and produce the things in relation to technology. Universities can provide limited information to people who are interested in this area. If you want to be the one who is wanted by important companies, you have to make a difference.
Being different and initiative also changes the future of the countries. When we look at the powerful countries, we can easily observe that the most successful countries are the ones that produce differen things which are shaped by creative minds and sell their products to other countries.
