Exchanging work instead of money and my experience exploring more of such concepts.

Came to Maryland to play poker for a promotion which earns me poker chips. Also get comps which are good for food with a little more than $1 per hour added to my card at the casino. Included in this post are pictures of some of my proof of work that I would like to share and possible inspire others to do the same. Originally looked for a place to stay part of the time so I wouldn't have to pay for a hotel the whole time. Ended up finding someone I could stay with in exchange for work and came to agreement to stay for a few weeks. This has been a great opportunity for me. Part of what I have been doing to stay here include help cleaning and gardening.

Will Work for Free

Well maybe not exactly work for free. Not to work for money. Work instead for something of real value to me such as a place to stay and food! I'd rather not eat money and money doesn't make a good shelter. Few times in my life I have attempted to live with less money and sometimes even no money. Doing such has been rewarding and opens up my mind to other thoughts and ideas to live and accomplish things. Bartering resources for resources and time can retain more value being more localized and cutting out middle men and other costs for example. Thinking I will write more about these ideas I seek as I wonder how crypto may be used for such value exchange without having to be exchanged for "money".

Seeds getting ready to be planted

Here a bunch of seeds the person I am staying with has saved and now is germinating to grow sprouts to be planted. Am helping prepare the gardens and other yard work in exchange for a place to stay. So this is allowing me to have some fun, be outdoors, and get some exercise during my poker playing trip in Maryland. Managed to fill a couple big bags by cleaning up the garden beds and numerous brush around the yard. Look forward to getting some of these seeds planted sometime in the next week or so.

Cleaning out a flower bed - proof of work

Here are pictures of a flower bed I cleaned out that will be used to plant some vegetables. This one will be for spinach and something else will be planted in the others. Also managed to fill up two big bags of stuff. Well worth having a place to stay while I go play poker which I am getting ready to go do soon. Wonder how I may also play at a casino with chips as another possible proof of work concept as well. As I get rewarded for moving chips around.

Preparing gardens for the soaking seeds' new home

These gardens were a little messy with roots and some weeds to be weeded out of course. Moved the water hoses. Cleared a bunch of the weeds and grass that was left on top to limit weed growth as well. Then pitch forked the gardens to loosen up the soil and dig up old dead roots along with some weeds that sprung up. After cleaning up the gardens I also turned the soil over to being new top soil to the top. Will prep them a little more before starting to plant.
