20 questions with Hal Johnson (BodyBreak)

When most Canadians hear the BodyBreak jingle, they are instantly hit with a dose of nostalgia.

Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod are Canadian icons. The duo made a regular appearance on Canadian television sets throughout the 80s and 90s. Decades later, they continue their mission to keep Canadians healthy and active.

But what Hal and Joanne built didn’t happen overnight. Hal’s vision was hindered by the colour of his skin. He was turned down by 42 different companies when he initially approached them with the concept for BodyBreak.

In the first audio edition of 20 questions, Hal shares his personal battle with racism, he explains how BodyBreak came into existence and he tells us what his favourite workout is.
