For the «Don’t buy it -MAKE IT OR REPAIR IT» contest initiativ by @livesustainably, I want to present something I love: upholstery. I repair and upcycle old, tattered chairs - chairs that a lot of people would deem suitable only for the landfill.
In the following photos I will present some of the work undertaken for one of my recent upholstery projects.
Tired, old chair
The chair was stripped down, and given new padding

The legs and armrests were sanded down and new finishing oil was applied
The chair was given a new fabric
