Italian vacations: Alberobello, part #1

Hello, friends!

Today I will continue my telling about wonderful places I've visited during my last travel to Italy. Now it's turn of Alberobello.

Alberobello

I stumbled onto info about this area coincidentally. And I wouldn't think twice about to visit it. I had to rearrange our completed route, as it was not just a side trip but a quite detour.

It was a day of deep impressions. As we checked out the sunset in Matera on that day, we made it to Alberobello after dark.

I saw snow in the streets of Alberobello at the photos found on the net, so we took warm cloth. But it was a false alarm as snow is very rarely the case in Apulia. Although the girl at the reception desk said that it is "very cold today", it was nothing compared to our continental ukrainian winter.

She was so kind to get us to free parking place and then to our place of stay - it was a true trullo! She also gave us a tourist map and drawn little circles around our trullo, the reception and the place we dropped a car.

The hotel was a set of trullos located in a different streets of same district. It was a quiet part of the city, that is very important for a light sleeper like me.

It was no reason to rush with taking photos, and we went for a walk along with looking for a place to have a late dinner. We were so naive - Saturday night, everything from Tripadvisor 's list was fully booked, so we had to settle for seats at the bar.

After delicious meal we took a few night photos and went to bed. Contrary to my concern, trullo was very warm and cozy inside, and I slept wonderfully.

Okay, I think this is enough for the beginning. My pictures participate in Daily @photocontests kindly hosted by @juliank.
