This is a video from about 6 years ago with my first born child. I had already been speaking at conferences on parenting and education for many years, and I had been heavily involved with children since I was 12 years old. 

Since I was 12 years old, I was a "better" parent than every other parent I had ever met, and all the children that I baby sat or took care of or even knew agreed fully. 

With that being said, I can tell you that having "your own" child is far different. There is a massive amount of responsibility, especially if you want to be a "good parent". It is very demanding and never ending. I had to change my entire life - well, I didn't HAVE TO, but I DID if I wanted to be a "good parent". 

I have been posting about parenting a bit lately here on Steemit, and thankfully it has been well recieved because I feel that it is of the utmost importance. In fact, one of my favorite quotes is "~*~Almost all the world’s problems start with parenting, thus the solutions to the world’s problems lie in New Paradigm parenting~*~"

Today I am sharing this 14 minute long video that I made specifically to help bring insight, empowerment, and hope to parents old and new. There is so much profound implication in this video, and while it doesn't address every single practical moment a parent will face, I feel it addresses the truly important foundations of what I refer to as New Paradigm Parenting. 

You can see me and my 1 year old child being together in the moment to moment. Imagine trying to give a presentation with a 1 year old......Well imagine no more, HERE IT IS!

It really is possible to be successful and enjoy being a parent even with the many very real demands/responsibilities of being a parent. The key is not in sacrificing our life but in living our life purposefully.
