Here is my first post at LoveFriday - initiated by @liliana.duarte :)

And for a start, this post embeds a love declaration for my country, Portugal. Couldn't be otherwise. Will post another one in Portuguese as well :)

Have a great Friday!

PORTUGAL

Portugal, a dream country, a country of dreams and of dreamers. Portugal was born from a dream, from the ambition of a man who stubbornly made it born (King D. Afonso Henriques).

Portugal raised up with a dream, the dream of being great, as great as the World that it didn’t even know about. Portugal was, and is, a country of great, great dreamers who invented scales, transits and maps to map and measure themselves.

Portugal is a dream country, with all its good things and even with those who aren’t so, from its privileged location and being a central hub (not peripheral, as many call it) of the world, in a geography of exception and with multiple and multicolored landscapes, from the beaches to the mountains, from the green in the North to the golden dunes of the coast and Alentejo.

Portugal is a dream country, new, reinvented, vibrant, technological, and with dreamers, doers, inventors and smiling, courageous, welcoming and generous people. Portugal is a dream country that gave and keeps giving new worlds to the World, with its presence all over the World, with Portuguese people being accountable worldwide and with its dream language spoken everywhere.

Portugal is the homeland of dream poets and writers, who make us all keep dreaming. Portugal is a country where eating turns out to be a dream, with strong, colorful and aromatic flavors and extraordinary wines, a dream for our senses.

Portugal is a country of and with so many dreams that, here, you can even eat them! Yes, at Christmas, and all over the year, golden and warm dreams (sonhos, the name of a delicacy) make you dream inside out... and beg for more!
