Impressions from Mallorca - #21 - Santuari de Lluc
Today I want to present you: "Santuari de Lluc", a monastery in the mountains of Mallorca. It is located on a height of 525 m (~1722 ft) and was founded in the 13th century.
As you can see Mallorca has to offer so much more than "just" beautiful weather and great beaches, but also a lot of culture.
Lluc is considered to be the most important pilgrimage site on the island.
Today the monastery is very famous for its boys' choir: Els Blauets (founded in 1531).
If you ever have the possibility to visit a concert, this is highly recommended, I already tried it two times, unfortunately the boys always were in vacation...
