Stone Free - Grown by Ceres - The New Top Strain or Just Hype?

You can find a lot of buzz about the stone free strain with a simple stroke of a key but is it all hot air or is the hype truly all it's made out to be? After looking up the genetics I knew I had to try it out.

Stone free is a mostly indica hybrid, it is a cross of the Chemdawg D kush and the Mendo Montage four star male that has already helped make a bunch of champion strains for Gage Green breeding. The buds have complete resin coverage from bud to stem. Even the little bit of trim left on the plant is amazing looking.

This gram came in at 20.5% total THC and 0% CBD. not the highest but 20.5% is still decent. It would have been nice if they supplied the THC-A numbers but the total THC is better then nothing.

The packaging of this gram was a nice little glass container. Yes, actual glass not plastic like most of the others in this class. I myself will be throwing the jar away after I finish the gram but I could see someone saving it to hold weed or dabs. The packaging I would give a 8 out of 10 but packaging isn't what we are here for. The container does keep the buds from getting squished and You do get a much better look at the nuggs compared to inside the standard zip-lock gram containers.

Taste on this strain I would give a solid 8 out of 10, maybe even 8.5. It is very aromatic and has almost a sugar kush fruit taste going on. For some reason this strain reminds me of some sour d but more sweet and tart. I can see this becoming a favorite to some people that consider themselves a pot connoisseur. It has something special going on with the taste that makes it different. I'm happy just to sit and sniff this weed but smoking it opens up a whole new flavor profile for it. It has that musty Kush flavor on the exhale and it has a nice expansion in the lungs. Not harsh but will make you cough if not careful.

The high is very indica heavy, very nice relaxing body high that fully enveloped me. I found myself sitting in front of the T.V. just vegging out. I could see this as something very good for anxiety as I didn't have a care in the world besides running out of weed. Happy and relaxed, not something that has your mind racing but also not something that makes you a zombie. It is a bit of a creeper as it took about 8 min to start feeling it. All in all I would give the high an 8 out of 10. Very enjoyable.

Price was not horrible. 14 bucks for the gram when most of the average grams are 12. its a little better then average so I guess the little higher then average price makes sense. At the same time I wonder how much of that extra cost is coming from the little fancy glass jar. 7 out of 10 as I think its a fair price for what you get, maybe even a little on the pricy side but its a name brand strain, what else can we expect right?

For the total rating I would say its an 8 out of 10. It's a great strain. If you want to chill and be mellow then its worth trying. I can't give it any higher of a rating because I think a lot of the selling point is the hype that is going around. Have I had better stains, well yes but its all subjective as we all have different tastes. Some people swear by it calling it the best strain ever, I'll stick with saying its a good strain and it has its own taste that some people will search for.

Is it something I will buy again? Probably not to be honest about it. Its nice I can say I tasted it but their are other strains I would rather search out. That's just me though.

I picked up this gram at my local Pot store. Here is a link to their site if you want to see if they are close to you and maybe pick up some to taste yourself. They have an awesome staff and are always willing to help.

Time for me to smoke another, will hopefully post it soon.

Cheers all and thanks for checking out the reviews on strains of weed sold and grown in Washington state!
