We miss so many great authors here on Steemit!
And that is exactly the point of this weekly report! Each week I am featuring authors on Steemit I feel have not gotten the publicity they deserve and I think are poised for an imminent breakout.
Every "minnow" is unique and brings their own amazing point of view. They may have been referred to me by others, or just have a style that touches many in the way they write. Most have steadily improved in their writing, have earned about less than 1 million vests with their posts so far, and they all probably deserved much more attention than they actually received at first glance.
If the author has done an #introduceyourself post, I will default to using one of those photos in their description. I will also point out a post, or series of posts I enjoyed from them the most.
As a reminder, each featured minnow will split all SBD generated from this Minnow Report post. Finally, and especially with our newest Feed feature launched today, consider giving each a and enjoy their future masterpieces to come!

Steemit's First Drunk Makeup Tutorial!
This is me! I'm a passionate science nerd, an artist, and advocate. My strength is that I'm a generalist and am learned in many different things. I paint, I take photographs, I play, I love spreadsheets and my dogs, I write, I analyze data, I lead nature walks. I used to dig up dead people for a living. I work with non-profits that are doing cool things in awesome places to help save the world.(@reneenouveau)
If Steemit's strengths lie in its wonderful personalities, @reneenouveau is certainly towards the top! If any of you have been hanging out on steemit.chat, you already know @reneenouveau. Except for the fact it is @illuminaughti there! Renee brightens up everyone's day with extreme wit, charm, and wonderful humor. You might know Renee from the recent hit post here, but my personal favorite is the first drunk makeup tutorial I highlighted above. Every time I see Renee on our chat, it brings a smile to my day! Give @reneenouveau a follow, I'm sure it will to you too!

Worried about Kaycee -- for others who have or may have had the same experience
Chris, aka @cloh76, is a self-proclaimed gadget and technology enthusiast and traveler of the world. He has a very positive outlook on life, and in each of his posts you can really feel his genuine positive attitude towards everything. He has gone to so many wonderful places and shared in all of them to Steemit. His post on becoming a certified diver and walking us through the underwater treasures of the Philippines was stunning. I wish I would have the courage of Chris, I never was much of a swimmer and hope to one day take the plunge into such waters.
It was, however, Chris's heartbreaking post about his dog Kaycee that really grabbed my attention.
Kaycee was his "miracle puppy" that was born out of pregnancy from two of his other Yorkie dogs. This dog survived only after a day's visit in the vet under an incubator. Chris was such an amazing caretaker, he built his own custom pen and was able to nurse the dog back to health. I felt like I could really tell a lot about the character of Chris from this post. If we all had a heart as big as his, this world would be a much better place.

@steamit's Definitive Illustrated GUIDE TO STEEMIT!
Kevin, aka @steamit, is a gamer (hence the nod to Steam in the username), and has a variety of interests from movies to computer science. It is, however, his interest in art that has really drawn me into his posts. The artwork he has featured so far is original, polished, and tells a unique story each time! More importantly, it has provided a nice laugh or two, especially for his featured post of mine:
Minnow
@wang
If there is a real @wang out there in this world, I am sure they would have cracked up at that one. Kevin has shifted his posting focus to original webcomics, with recent ones featuring characters he has drawn from Steemit. I look forward to more of his work!
That's it for this week! Please tune in next week for our next batch!
Have a minnow you think should be featured? Please message me at @team.leibniz on steemit.chat and I will give it a look. Please also consider following each of the users above to spread the love!
Remember, everyone is a minnow here at some point, set an example for everyone to follow and be excellent to each other!
