The Importance Of Investing And Why Minnowbooster Is A Great Facilitator For It

The Importance Of Investing And Why Minnowbooster Is A Great Facilitator For It

It was around the age of 10-11 I realised that I wanted to be wealthy, but I had no idea how to go about achieving this goal. Things were made a little clearer when I read ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ by Robert Kiyosaki, and the ‘Richest Man in Babylon’ by George S. Clason (I know, questionable reading material for a 10-11 year old).

Kiyosaki and Clason introduced me to this idea of making my money work for me. What they meant by this, is that you should always be using a portion of your disposable income to make more money. A classic example is putting some of your money into a savings account. The amount funneled into the savings account will be working for you, and making you more money via interest. It is a very simple concept to understand, but yet a lot of people do not try and make their money work for them. I decided that I would not be one of those people and instead, with this powerful piece of information now known to me, I sought the different ways I could make my money work for me.

How I Made My Money Work For Me

My search led me to the concept of investing. Simply defined, investing is an act of committing money or capital to an endeavour with the expectation of obtaining an additional income or profit. Putting into practice the teachings of Kiyosaki and Clason, I began to seriously invest my money during the first year of university. This is what my portfolio looks like now:

  • Cryptocurrency ROI: 153%
  • Equities ROI: 35%
  • Index Fund ROI: 28%

I managed to accrue all of this whilst studying for my degree. Some people on here will definitely have better results, especially with regard to cryptocurrencies. But I hope you can all see and understand how important it is to make your money work for you. It can be by investing your money, or putting it in a savings account, just make sure it’s working for you!

Minnowbooster

This is why @minnowbooster is such a refreshing project on the Steemit platform. The ability to invest gives you more options as a Steemit user, and I personally find that really exciting.  Say you made $5 on a post you made, what are your main options?

  1. You could power it up into STEEM POWER so you can have a bit more influence on the Steemit platform.
  2. You could withdraw that money and convert it into fiat.
  3. You could also turn it into STEEM and use it for activities such as purchasing various services on the Steemit platform.

In these three scenarios, your money really isn’t working for you. Minnowbooster provides you with a fourth option, and that’s pretty huge. if you invest a portion of your post earnings into minnowbooster, you will start earning a passive income. You can continue working hard and carving out a place for yourself on this platform, and at the same time, have an additional source of income in the form of minnowbooster payouts.

The added element of investing that minnowbooster offers really is one of the most ambitious things I have seen on this platform. I would recommend you check them out, so you can see what they are all about at. Make sure you thoroughly understand what the project is about before committing any of your capital.

There are numerous opportunities out there to really make our money work for us. Be aggressive in your search for those opportunities. With proper understanding of said opportunities, will you likely see some gains from your investments.
