The aim of this new contest is to encourage collaboration between content creators on Steemit.
The prize will be 1000 SP delegated for 4 weeks, to be shared between the two winning collaborators.
Funding for this Contest has been generously provided by @eturnerx. One important rule is that all participants must be members of the Minnows Accelerator Project (MAP); if you are not yet a Member, then please request to become one at the current Signup page.
There will be 3 rounds to the contest. So plan ahead to the final and think about creating three articles that highlight different aspects of your collaborative work.

Rules are necessary, but don't let them be a distraction from creating some truly inspirational new posts.
Please read the rules in the Pre-launch article. There is no need to repeat them here unless there are changes.
Contest Theme: EQUINOX
The autumn equinox will take place on the 22nd September 2017 at 20:02 UTC. It is the traditional end of summer and beginning of autumn. It is defined as the time at which the path of the Sun crosses the celestial equator. Although defined in terms of astronomical phenomena, it is popularly thought of as the date on which we have 12 hours of daylight and 12 of night; this isn't quite right and the day known as EQUILUX is distinct from the EQUINOX. All of which is worth considering in your interpretation of the Theme.
References to EQUINOX need not be strictly scientific, but can be metaphorical, psychological or cultural. There is no need to place limits on your expression of the Theme. Collaborating pairs must be from different creative fields, and may include writers, artists, video and audio producers and any other expressive art that I can't think of!
How to Participate
This Call for Content will last for 7 days and be immediately followed by the Voting round. A new Voting article will be published that includes links to all the posts submitted during this Call for Content. To submit your collaborative post, just make a comment with a link to your joint post. It does not matter whether you submit your entry on day 1 or day 7, so long as it is before the 7-day reward period expires.
How to Post a Collaborative Article?
There are two options here. Firstly, one person can post the article and then share the resulting rewards after payout; the other person should resteem the post. Secondly, you can use the Reward Distribution feature available on chainBB to set the rewards to 50-50 and payments are thus shared automatically. There is, however, no way for an article to be published jointly. It may also be a good idea to put the two usernames in the title of the post.
How Voting Will Take Place
Once all submissions have been posted in the comments section, and the 7-day period has ended, a new post entitled "Round 1 Voting" will be published with links to all the collaborative posts. Voting will be done in the same way as the MAP "Six of the Best" contests, with general votes within the comments plus voting exclusively by MAP members within the chatroom. This ensures that every entry can be voted on for the same length of time and that votes are counted even if your post reward period has ended.
I expect about six of the best entries will go forward to Round 2. The theme of EQUINOX (and EQUILUX) will continue into Round 2, but there will be a surprise new Theme for the final Round 3.
