Anti-Abuse Team Weekly Report #16
Friday - December 22nd - 2017
This may be the last update of 2017 as I intend to try and relax over the holidays.
One slight change is that the Blacklist categories are now able to contain multiple reasons per account. This will affect the count on our charts, and more accurately reflect all the possible reasons an account was blacklisted for.
The details of this weeks prune of the member-list -
- 6128 Members before this week's prune was run. (590 new accounts since last week)
- 30 Day Prune has removed 105 dead accounts. (29 more were removed this Prune.)
- This leaves our count at 6023 Members after the prune.
- ~700 Peak Concurrent users this week. (A recent surge in memberships seems to have driven this up.)
Updated stats on Bans and Blacklist -
- 1270 Discord bans (+52 new from previous)
- 1065 accounts in total are now Blacklisted by @minnowsupport (+52 from previous!)

This shows the trend of members gained over time. I use the number of users counted after each purge each week.
Blacklist Counts by Type:
This gives a breakdown of the major categories we list an account under in our Blacklist.
In summary:
Our list gets more accurate and we have officially made the MSP6K goal before the end of 2017. We can't wait for 2018 and the many possibilities it will bring.
A quick review of things that get you blacklisted:
- A single image or even multiple images, with very little text or only a basic bit of information with it.
- An embedded YouTube or DTube video with zero additions to the post that provide value.
- Attempting to gain multiple upvotes outside our 1 per 12 hour cool-down by any means.
- Any major violation of our community guidelines and rules. (This usually has to do with treatment of other users on the platform.)
Not all of these result in a ban from Discord since we want you to learn and improve.
Our work to improve the fairness of our upvote bot continues, now with 100% more graph goodness!
