I just realized today, although writing an introductory post here on Steemit ( it's been 9 month ), many of you still don't have the slightest...
So I decided to put it all together <3
Let me give you a little insight into who I am & what I do.
My name is Denise, I am a female Dj, Producer & Audio Engineer & am located in Germany at the moment.
I am a true mutt & am super proud of it!!
Thanks to my uncle, he is deep into ancestry, I found out I have Irish/Scottish/Swedish/ Cherokee blood from my dad's side of the family, my mom was born in Upper Silisia.
My musician alias is DJ D-VINE or just D-VINE
To clarify, NO, I am not full of myself to call myself D-VINE. I am a joker, love to engage people, don’t judge at first glance!
I came up with this name because when I was about 10 years old, I saw a video of the artist Divine
He became an inspiration to me with taking the step to come forward, to stand up for what he believes in/ identifies with, even-though creating controversy & receiving a lot of hate. That is a form of freedom to me <3
At the time the following song came to mind & sealed the deal for my DJ name.
I dj & produce Drum and Bass, Breakz, Trip Hop, Downtempo, House or whatever bubbles out, because mainly I love music.
I am a versatile artist with roots in the underground electronic scene in Europe since 1993.
I first set foot behind the decks in 1996, started out djing oldschool breakbeats / drum&bass & that is what I mainly focused on.
My professional debut was in 1998 at the Carambolage in Karlsruhe Germany with my our, DJ Destiny's & my, event called "Planet DrumNBass".
As the only female DJ in Karlsruhe on the Risk Industrees label, I was in constant high demand for decades.
Two other Risk Indust members are also on Steemit, the label owner @madcracke & @jeffleinwand
I rocked venues all over Europe & over the big sea in Japan.
One of the best events ever in Europe, was in Paris on a ship / Night club called Batofar.
I moved to Okinawa 2008 where I became resident Dj to the Raw Fusion in the oldest electronic Club Hinotama Hall on the island.
I've been featured on radio shows in Egypt, New Zealand, Brazil, Cairo, Lebanon, the U.K., the USA, Belgium & Germany, just to name a few.
I am an "old skool" but flexible DJ who has a long history with vinyl but I also mastered the newest technologies.

I began amateur producing around 1998.
My first release came out on the label Risk Industrees in 2000.
It was „Life Witchu“ a song I dedicated to my son, on the ENTER @ YOUR OWN RISK Compilation.

To really get into the depth of music production & mastering, I decided to get my certification as an audio engineer last year.
Another reason I was so driven was the fact that I was diagnosed with cancer, I finished a 2 year class in 6 month & cancer got kicked in it's behind.I have been cancer free for 1 year & 8 month now, whoop whoop!
Together with Jeff Leinwand aka @jeffleinwand I also form the producer team MaDe.

Here I go by ELLi, a short version of my first name. It's a southern thing to be called by your middle name I reckon, hehe.
I create art using recycled materials under the project ELLicycling
I am a dog fanatic <3
Believe it or not, I use to have 8 dogs.
All of my dogs were/ are rescues, it was never planned, it was one of the biggest blessings though.
I grew so much with my responsibility!
Sadly due to a divorce, these are fun facts here so I won’t go into detail, we split the dogs.
