Airi Kakimoto was imprisoned by her parents in a little shed where she froze to death.
Her parents kept her prisoner for 15 years, and in all that time they fed her once a day.
Airi Kakimoto was 33 years old when she died and weighed only 42 pounds. According to police, parents claim to have kept her isolated because she was starting to have mental breakdowns which they couldn't control. They also claimed that was starting to behave violently, and at times lashing out at them.
Weeks went by before the parents reported the death of their daughter. This took place in Neyagawa, Japan.
