Hello Music Lovers!!
This post is inspired by @the-gorilla music series. It immediately threw me back in time, specifically my college days- when I was obsessed with music. I had to listen every new song and make a Playlist of my favorites and then play them on non stop.
Back in those days, I was hooked to Linkin Park songs. I like the music in their songs that goes from deep calm to sudden restlessness and then back to tranquility.
NUMB from the album Meteora was my top favorite for a long time. It was released in 2003 but it got on my playlist in 2009. I am not much of Alt Metal genre person but I liked their songs.
There are a lot of memories associated with this song. It fitted perfectly to tune out the world in those teenage years when I was emotional and easily disturbed my mental piece over pitty things.
Whenever I got sidetracked, this song helped me out to shut down the world and focus on my goals. It's something to do with its lyrics or maybe the whole package made it happen.
I am really bad at singing but loved singing out loud this song with my friends. We used to perform our own linkin park show, not caring how brutally we were killing the actual song.
In 2017, when the lead vocalist Chester Bennington died, I was deeply grieved. He performed really well in all his songs. I hope the band comes back with more good music soon.
For now, let's enjoy the oldies.
