One of my many ventures in the past few years has been a cigar box guitar crafting business. I've sold to a decent number of clients including Kerry Livgren from the band Kansas. Over the past few years, the local PBS station has asked me to donate one of my handmade guitars annually for their fundraising auction. This year, I decided to record a quick demo with the newly made cigar box guitar before I handed it off.
My guitars are acoustic-electric hybrids - this demo was recorded through a direct input from the guitar's pickups into a Fender amplifier. I played it with a glass slide, and other than natural EQ modification from the Fender amp, the only effect on this guitar's sound was reverb.
