Learn To Find Major Scales On Piano
To find major scale on Piano just follow these steps.
Everyone is familiar with the C major scale?
Its simple with no # and flats.
From C to higher C.
Now look at the positioning of the black keys in between them.
Wherever there is a black key in between the white key we say that a whole step between the two white notes and when the white keys are adjacent to each other we call it a half step distance between those two white keys.
So by generalizing by looking at the black keys position we can say that the formula for finding major scales on piano will become.
W-W-H-W-W-W-H
where W= whole step = leave 1 key and then press the next key
H = half step = press the next key
For finding D scale keys:
1st key = Root Key = D
2nd key = go 1 step forward = leave 1 key, press the next key = E
3rd key = go 1 step forward = jump 1 key, press the next key = F#
4th key = go half step forward =press the next key = G
5th key = go 1 step forward = jump 1 key, press the next key = A
6th key = go 1 step forward = jump 1 key, press the next key = B
7th key = go 1 step forward = jump 1 key, press the next key = C#
8th key = go half step forward = press the next key = D
