Melodious Music Memoirs # 3: My Mother

5 M's. That's funny now that I look at the title's lettering. It could also stand for 5 Minutes. Sometimes that's all it takes to show appreciation, share your love and gratitude to your mother, the woman who raised you into who you are today.

This song is dedicated to my mother. I wrote it the day of her birthday as I wasn't sure what to get her but realized I never made her a song and (like most supportive mothers) she is a big supporter of my music as well as my best friend Edgar's music who provided me the lovely beat production I'm using.

I actually love the little slip ups and mistakes particularly in this video where my performance isn't the cleanest because the inflections of my voice and the minor fluctuations in stability reflect the symbolic growth of my upbringing from a young child to the man I am today. It was not always a smooth, gravel free road, as there were many ditches and rough terrains in my childhood but I persevered through the adversity with the guidance of my mother's unconditional love, which molded me into a better human being to where I can now pass these life lessons and attributes down to my children as well. It's a beautiful thing to see and witness the positive domino effect through the family generation paradigm.

This was just hilarious and it's true so I had to share. Babies don't understand the concept of the parent's fatigue so they cannot empathize and react accordingly lol it's like they have infinite energy.

If you have a mother or a mother figure, call them or visit them and create an opportunity to make another impactful memory with them. All time is valuable time.

Please enjoy the song.

My Mother

Verbal D
Chorus:
Mother
I love ya, adore ya, it's true
Place no one above ya, no other,
Can ever replace you

Happy your my mother
I love ya, adore ya, it's true
Place no one above ya, no other,
Can ever replace you

Verbal D
Verse 1:
Ever since I was a youngin'
Playing, jumping, and running
I grew up with a heart
From your unconditional loving
Your kisses and your hugging
Home meals that kept us grubbing
A stay at home mother
Who never went out there clubbing

And even when you worked, we came with you riding them buses
Me and des under your desk on
Your shirt sleeve we would be tugging
You always gave us time
Even moments when we were bugging
I'll never forget you confronting those who were mean mugging

You always have our back and best interests for better living
A never ending full cycle of unconditional giving
You're present in our lives, kindhearted, thoughtful, and driven
The best gift any child could have without the ribbons

Now that I am a father, I realize and truly see
The dedication and the guidance that children naturally need
It's hard raising a child, in your case it's more than three
I'm writing this on behalf of all five of us, truthfully

Verbal D
Chorus:
Mother
We love ya, adore ya, it's true
Place no one above ya
No other, can ever replace you

Happy your our mother
We love ya, adore ya, it's true
Place no one above ya
No other, can ever replace you oh no

Verbal D
Verse 2:
You taught me how to cook
Encouraged me to read books
Prevented me from troubles
Not living life as a crook
Was Guided by all your love
Your passion is what it took
Perfect mix of Mom and Dad is just always just how I've looked

Supportive and protective of us
A real parent, still bearing deep inside of your heart is real caring
Feel cherished, cause the children you have are still there and
We will never break away from your love, No soul tearing...

Verbal D
Transition:
Every time I think about you I wanna cry
Tears of happiness for you being here in my life
I am so thankful I am so grateful for all of your love
Mom, I hope this song is enough

Verbal D
Chorus:
Happy your my mother
I love ya, adore ya, it's true
Place no one above ya, no other,
Can ever replace you

Happy your my mother
I love ya, adore ya, it's true
Place no one above ya, no other,
Can ever replace you oh no (x2)
