The floating village
was on of our destinations while travelling Myanmar,
located at the Inle-Lake (Burmese: အင်းလေးကန်).
We arrived at noon and were immediatly struck by the beauty of this place and its original state.
There are no roads in the village, only water-roads. The villagers travel by boat everywhere.
You can take a walk on a pier for a few hundred meters until you need a boat to go further.
"Coincidentally" a guy came up to us to take a ride in his boat, we were happy to be able to see more of this place so he took us around and showed us all the corners of this special place.
Theres a restaurant on the middle of the lake, the guy wanted to take us there but we declined. We wanted to watch the sunset with the restaurant in view to take some pictures ;)
After sunset we turned back to the village, the moon has already risen while the mountains in the distance were red from the sun.
This is the "main road" in the village
Hope you enjoyed our little boat trip! Feel free to ask questions if you have any :)
Thanks for sticking around!
