The winter in Lithuania at Baltic Sea coast is normally pretty warm, a bit above zero due to sea. However almost every year, and especially in February, happens when a huge anti-cyclone from the North finally pushes through the Atlantic air masses and brings really cold weather
So this year is not an exclusion. As for second week already we have very cold (up to -18 degrees sometimes) weather. And even the shoreline of the sea becomes frozen
I still waited for quite a few days before visiting she coast for sunset. Main reason just was waiting for some more ice to be formed there. Also waiting for some nice colors which normally happens while such a cold.
And finally two days ago all comes to the point of a terrific Ice Age sunset. But that was damn cold to make a photos, even with proper clothing. Anyway, have managed... :D
So enjoy this quite phantasmagorical scenery!
