Varhaug Gamle Kyrkjegard

This Is Varhaug old Cemetery, located at the coast of North-Varhaug in Hå Municipality. The first church is believed to have been raised in around the year 1200 on top of a pagan cult place. There have been a total of 3 churches here. The chapel you see here today was raised in 1951 with the bells from 1791. This cemetery is no longer in use, and protected by law. Todays chapel is 15m2 and have room for 14 people, and mostly used for weddings.
Most of the people buried here are from shipwrecks just of the shore.

In 2003 Kaizers Orchestra filmed the music video Evig Pint at this location.
And in 2014 General Forsamling filmed the music video Kvelden Alt Gjekk Gale on the bench outside the chapel. (click the titles to watch the music videos)
