A beautiful day in Phuket.
Thailand has so much to offer, starting with golden temples, mouth watering street foods and rounding it all up with beautiful landscapes and rich culture. Phuket is a known tourist destination, but we, as always, tried to get off the beaten path and explore it a little bit more into depth.
1 - We chased the sunset and ended up having a group of young Monks around us. The orange robes and the low sun provide a perfect ambiance.
2 - Kris made some friends at the beach. There was this Labrador who seemed to be looking for something in the water for hours. We got worried, as he looked so desperate..we though that his owner has left in the sea and never came back. In the end it turned out he was just amazing fishes and cooling down in the cool water.
3 - We saw so many baby elephants chained down and used as tourist amusement. We made a short video about how terrible is animal exploitation for tourism and how wrong it is. Link here to the video. It was heartbreaking.
4 - We visited several viewpoints in the 37 t. C heat, but it was well worth it. The crystal clear water and the boats passing by brings such a peace to the soul.
Hopefully you enjoyed our little photo story of a beautiful day we had. Stay tuned for an in depth blog post about What to do in Phuket and how to escape the tourist trail.
